Film Appreciation Seminars offer a fun and eye-opening approach to further understanding cinema's most popular films. These seminars take place at the Frank Banko Alehouse Cinemas and one registration includes a preliminary in-depth lecture before the film, a ticket to the film itself, and a talkback after the film.

Jennifer Suwak has worked in the film/video industry since 1990. She has worked as a producer, reporter, editor, director and camera operator for TV, news, feature films & shorts. Her sculptures, animation, and award-winning narrative & documentary films have been shown internationally in galleries and in film festivals. She currently continues her freelance career while teaching production and theory courses in the Cinema, Television & Media Production department at Kutztown University. Jennifer is the Director of the annual Kutztown University Film Festival which showcases local High School & College student films. She is also the Director and faculty at the Kutztown University Summer Filmmaking institute, a week long intensive film production program.

Steve Abruzzese has been freelancing as a producer, camera operator. grip and editor since graduating Desales University in 2011. He and Jennifer Suwak have made several documentaries and other projects together that have won awards and have played internationally. Their most recently completed film, ‘The Voice’, won the Audience award for best short at the 15th annual Southside (Bethlehem, PA) film festival. They plan on finishing several other films as the year ends. Steve is especially interested in local projects. His drive is shining a light on the Lehigh Valley with interesting stories about people who live here. Know someone or something interesting about the Valley? Talk to Steve. He wants to film it.
