Starring Nicole Kidman, Ewan McGregor, John Leguizamo

At a time when the musical genre was dying, Baz Luhrmann’s grand spectacle Moulin Rouge! took the world by storm. Built around new twists on contemporary pop classics, the film tells the story of a young English poet/writer, Christian (Ewan McGregor), who falls in love with the star of the Moulin Rouge, cabaret actress and courtesan Satine (Nicole Kidman). It uses the musical setting of the Montmartre Quarter of Paris, France. Out of his comfort zone and desperate to win her heart, Christian must prove to Satine that “all you need is love.”

Moulin Rouge! was nominated for eight Oscars, including Best Picture and Best Actress for Nicole Kidman, winning two: for Best Art Direction and Best Costume Design.

Please note: While this is not an official subtitled sing-along, patrons are still welcome to sing aloud.
