Teen Glass - Flameworking: In this new glass camp, students will be introduced to the art of flame working. Students will transforming glass rod and tube into works of art including pendants, spice jars, and sculptures. Flame working is the process of using a torch to heat premade rod and or tube into a molten state in order to manipulate the glass. Open to ages 13-17, all experience levels. Designed with the young artist in mind, Pre-Teen and Teen studio intensives build foundational skills, stretch creative limits, teach new techniques or refine existing skills. Each class provides an opportunity for in-depth learning and experimentation in a specific medium under the guidance and mentorship of a professional teaching artist. Studio Intensives are held in the mornings and afternoons so young artists have flexibility to include art in their schedules.
