Learn all aspects of acting from improv to scene study. The Sanford Meisner technique is practiced by film actors today reaching the heart of acting by the reality of doing. Students will work on scenes from various films using this technique.

Katina Sossiadis
is a director and writer. She trained with acting/directing coach Adrienne Weiss for five years studying the Sanford Meisner technique. She also worked in the production side of the film industry, by working on Far From Heaven, starring Julianne Moore, and Analyze That, starring Robert DeNiro.

In April 1999, Katina wrote and co-directed Lynn’s Wake, a short film. The film was accepted and well received at several film festivals. In 2007, Katina completed a documentary, Virgins of New York, which had success in being part of several festivals such as the Black Maria Film Festival, Coney Island Film Festival, and Reel Women International Film Festival.

Last year, Katina directed her first play, David Mamet’s American Buffalo. She also was an Associate Producer on Dan Roebuck's Getting Grace.

Katina also is an adjunct professor at Penn State Lehigh Valley where she teaches film.  This past summer Katina directed her first feature film, Epiphany, with her sister Koula Sossiadis Kazista shooting on location in Florida.  Currently she is working on a second script that takes place in the Lehigh Valley entitled Searching for Augusta.

Students must be 18 or older at the time of the workshop. Workshop durations are approximate and may go longer or shorter based on the amount of students enrolled.
